About Me

Well I'm a Southern California gal who has been stuck living here in Indiana for over ten years and yes, I do still really miss California!! (http://www.hermosawave.net/webcam/) Sorry if that bothers some of you but I hate winter and cold weather!!! I grew up near the beach & went straight in to the Military after high school and then to some very warm climate places that further thinned my blood. I was living in the So. Calif. Desert area (105 was the usual) just before I moved here to Indiana and it was sooo hard that first winter! :-( The picture is of our tree out front covered in ice from a Ice Storm a couple years ago!! YUCK!

I married my sweetheart in 2005 and he's a wonderful guy! Always generous and patient with me - and I need that a lot! Most people think that I'm the one that is working hard in the relationship but he treats me like I don't deserve! I have a daughter who married her high school sweetheart and they are just had their first child. I'm a grandma now!! :-))

I coupon. I usually go to CVS, Marsh's, Lance's, Wal-Mart, and Aldi's (in order). I use to coupon all the time years ago but got out of the habit but I got back into it the beginning of 2008 and I am doing soooo good at it - love it!! And I don't have to buy generic anymore! - unless I want to. And I've saved on our grocery bill (including cleaning and paper goods) over 50%!!! Yes I know CVS and Marsh are expensive stores but once you understand the "game" you can get wonderful deals! And then you can use the money you saved at the other stores.

I'm a Christian and that's the only label I like to put on myself. I go to a wonderful church called God's House that is full of a diverse group of people that makes me feel like I'm back in a big city! and they love God! I volunteer at a wonderful place called Gilead Ministries, if you have Cancer (or know someone who does) or a long term illness check out the link, they are great.
