Exxon Earnings Insanity & Border Books Savings & Walgreens $5/$20

Did anyone else see the crazy earnings report of Exxon's that CNN had up online today (short-time headline)? $1500 a second? YES, a second!! That's $90,000 a minute!!!!!! And we're paying 3.88 a gallon?!? I just don't understand how they can make this kind of money and still charge such high prices... I've read articles about it and I still don't understand it - the amounts just boggle the mind! Okay, I'll stop venting now.....

So on to fun stuff! I found a great deal over at http://moneysavingmethods.blogspot.com/ about Border Books latest promotion. You get $5 off each book - Yes that's each book you order and if you have a borders near you you just have it shipped to store so that there's no shipping charge. Just pick what books you want - I went to the under $10 section, picked some, and I then picked one book that's over $6.00 because your total has to be over $1.00 at the end. Have you been checking out my "Mail Call" section? I go to MySavings.com and look for great samples that you can request from all over. They are really good (no selling of your email addy and good samples) at finding a great range of items. Most items that I sign-up for come in about a week and lots of times they come with coupons with the items!

I don't do Wags often enough to know what good deals they have but I did see that they have a good deal on photos this week: buy 25 and get 25 free - that'd prolly eat up 10 bucks right there. So you just have to figure out some other items you might need - like school supplies? They have got tons and tons for cheap!!!

Walgreen's Today $5/$20 coupon

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with mine cas I had already gone to wag's on Tuesday and got the Hellman's mayo and 2 bags of Bliss. Paid around $6 for it, had 2 coupons for $1 each for the Bliss and the monthly coupon had a $1 for buying 2 bags and then I also had a small .35 cent q for the mayo which was on sale for $2.99 (the cheapest it is around here). So the Bliss was a great deal and the mayo was a good deal... but if I had of known that they were coming out with this q I could have looked for other deals and worked something out for a really great deal with the 5/20 q!!!

Did 2 CVS trips today and 1 Walgreen's trip (for the $10 off $30 coupon just for today). I had wanted to get my printer ink but the cartridges I brought were not good so I had to make up for the $15 short on the fly and I did pretty good.

Then the CVS trip was good - it went as planned and I was able to do 2 transactions. Sometimes they don't like me doing that. I always go at off hours when I'm gonna do that. But the 2 stores that are in my area are constantly out of most things as soon as the flyers are out. The first day most people have picked over everything and it's hard to complete a large dollar amount ECB transaction.

Like the cereal and ragu / helliman's deal was hard to finish! But I got the ragu - love spag!! Plus I had gotten the free wipe email coupon but I didn't know that you could print that out multiple times!! It was also hard to find that - I went to 3 different stores before I found it. (Plus it's pretty small for the price it is - glad I got it for free!!)

So is anyone wondering when they'll get more Divine cookie crt's? DH & I love these cookies!!
